Based on approximately 30 participants in each session, with 2 trainers to allow for facilitated breakout work.
Two workshops aimed at building your communication skills and raising your level of credibility and influence. Whether you want to project confidence in meetings or a wider audience, these practical interactive workshops are free to all AWUK members.
Our final workshop of the year focuses on wellbeing and providing you with a toolkit to stay resilient during stressful times.
Programme leaders:
Jan Armstrong is an experienced trainer, facilitator and qualified coach specialising in leadership development and helping build teams that communicate and work effectively together. Jan has led numerous women's development programmes including the highly successful Achieve Programme for AWUK. She has created inclusive development programmes for Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), Google and The Labour Party. Before her career in people development, Jan was a successful BBC news journalist where she worked as Community Correspondent with a focus on diversity and a brief to give a voice to underrepresented communities. She spent several years as Education Correspondent. Jan is also a published author, and her book 'Unleashing your Creativity' helps organisations to come up with big ideas to grow their people and their brand.
Marianne O'Connor is an accredited executive coach with a Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Originally an actor, she combines her coaching and communication skills to help professionals enhance their Personal Brand and Executive Presence. An experienced and highly skilled trainer, facilitator, and coach, she designs and delivers creative, experiential programmes, working with clients to develop their impact and influence. Marianne specialises in female leadership development and has a track record of working with senior and high potential women on how they can enhance their personal brand to raise their profile. Clients include AWUK, the BBC, Channel 4, DNEG, The Labour Party and Arts University Bournemouth.
